We are offering two bridge holidays at the Hotel Salus in 2010.
The first is in February, when it is likely to crisp and cold on some days. Our guests will be able to explore the Padova and Venice regions off season. Walkers will enjoy the proximity of the Euganian Hills. The second holiday in June combines the early summer delights of local and wider tourist opportunities with warm sunshine.
Abano Terme
Abano Terme is the oldest spa in Europe. It is delightfully sighted at the foot of the Euganean Hills and right in the centre of the Veneto Region. The stone bath tubes among the glide paths in the public garden, once smoking with thermal water, are now symbols of the thousand year old thermal tradition of Abano Terme. The spa treatments for health, beauty and wellbeing are specialities of the hotels in the area.
The pedestrian promenade of Abano Terme starts just 40 metres from your hotel. You can enjoy a relaxing walk among historical buildings such as the Hotel Orologio, through exclusive shops, cafes and ice cream parlors, surrounded by public flower beds, squares, fountains and parks. Abano Terme is ideally placed for those wishing to relax and explore the Padova region. St Anthony’s Basilica in the city of Padova is stunning and there is Verona, Este, Monselice……
The beautiful city of Venice is a delight to visit at any time of year. Trains, at a return cost of approximately 8 euros, take just an hour from Montegrotto Terme, a five minute taxi ride from our hotel.
